Releasing a statement from the school, Principal David Oates said that their community is saddened to have to share the news of the loss of Jacob. Assing further, he said that Central Catholic is a small, close-knit community and his loss will be felt deeply by their Crusader family, staff, and students. David said that everyone has been informed of his untimely death. The principal went on to say that they have their guidance counselors, campus minister, and President Father Donald King on hand to talk and pray with any staff member, family member, or any student who needs them.

According to reports, it was a single-vehicle crash that took place on Sunday, at around 8:30 PM along U.S. Route 24, shutting down the roadway for several hours. However, details about the crash such as how did it happen and others are not available at this moment. President of Stark County Catholic Schools, King, said the school must come together in prayer and asked the community to join in praying for Brown, his family, and friends.

It is also coming forward that a Booster Club meeting which was scheduled for Monday night by the school has been canceled. Apart from that, the boy’s soccer sectional tournament game which was scheduled to be played today has been postponed too. Now, the game will be played at 6 PM, on Tuesday, at home against Loudonville. As per sources, Jacob’s family will be remembered at the start of the game.

Besides, the senior class also canceled the Beat Aquinas bonfire planned for Tuesday and asked that community members honor Brown by attending the soccer team’s sectional game and wearing white.
