As per Suraj Bajracharya, Director at KIST Medical College and Teaching Hospital, He had taken his last breath on Sunday 16th October 2022, Sunday morning around 7:09 am. The centenarian was under medical treatment for prostate and heart-related diseases since 23 September 2022 and was transferred to the ICU on 10 October. Reportedly, During a brief phone conversation with the post, Anu Raj Joshi, Joshi’s son. His son was taking care of him when he was admitted to the hospital, stated that since Joshi has donated his body the family did not decide yet what to do with his body. Because he already contributed his body to the hospital, and we are yet to discuss how to proceed”, his son said. The previous year the Joshi couple marked an agreement with the hospital to donate their bodies to the hospital for research after their death.
