We are just hours away from the epic encounter between Fabricio Andrade and MMA veteran John ‘Hands of Stone’ Lineker.

The two warriors will battle it out in the main event of ONE on Prime Video 3 as ‘Wonder Boy’ chases the dream of becoming a ONE world champion. A victory over Lineker on Friday night will make him just that.

More than confident in his own abilities, Fabricio Andrade has another big name backing him to leave Malaysia with ONE Championship gold this weekend; undefeated heavyweight and 17-time Brazilian jiu-jitsu world champion, Marcus ‘Buchecha’ Almeida. Speaking to ONE, ‘Buchecha’ delivered his prediction for the highly-anticipated main event, believing Andrade’s youth and drive will be the key to becoming a world champion.

“I’m picking Andrade. He has good momentum in his career right now. He is younger and hungrier, and he uses his reach advantage really well. I think these are great advantages in his favor!”

While he definitely has youth, you can’t mistake the drive of John Lineker, who has been an exceptional mixed martial artist for nearly 15 years. With 35 career wins and an undefeated record inside the Circle, ‘Hands of Stone’ is plenty motivated to keep his ‘O’ on Friday night.

John Lineker believes Fabricio Andrade’s confidence is hiding his real emotions

Leading up to his showdown with John Lineker in U.S. primetime, Fabricio Andrade has exuded confidence. The Brazilian knockout artist has done so since he first called out Lineker shortly after making his first walk to the Circle in 2020. However, not everyone is convinced that confidence is real.

Speaking at the ONE virtual media day event ahead of ONE on Prime Video 3, ‘Hands of Stone’ shared his belief that Andrade may be covering some of his emotions heading into the match-up. He reminded ‘Wonder Boy’ that he’s the one carrying all the pressure, entering the bout as the challenger.

“Yeah, for sure. I think he’s more emotional than confident. He’s coming in as the challenger so he has all the weight on him.”

With both fighters carrying undefeated records inside the Circle, more than just the ONE world championship hangs in the balance. Both fighters are competing for pride and supremacy in ONE Championship’s competitive bantamweight division.
